About Us

Who are ALPS Primary Care Network?

We are made up of a group of 4 Eastbourne GP practices, providing care to over 52,000 patients; as such we are often the first port of call for NHS healthcare.

As demand for healthcare increases, our GP practices now work together with other local partners, to provide a range of extra services side by side; ones that meet Eastbourne’s needs. Nobody else’s.

Our primary care network brings together the experience and unique skills of its practice managers, clinical staff, non-clinical staff and patient representatives, from each practice to plan out and deliver additional capacity and build resilience where its needed most.

Together, we are working on:

  • Workforce
  • Information and technology
  • Digital innovation
  • Financial and operational infrastructure
  • Education, training and development needs
  • Communications and engagement

Each practice still operates independently, but by working together, it means we can do more as a Primary Care Network for the residents of Eastbourne.

What is a Primary Care Network?

A primary care network is a group of practices who work together to focus on local patient care. They’ve been around since 2019 and 99 per cent of practices across England now work as part of one.

With increased demand and a shortage of clinical staff, practices find they can provide greater, more personalised care for patients when they can work together on certain services or issues.
