What is a Patient Participation Group or PPG?

A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of people who are patients of a GP surgery and want to help it work as well as it can for patients, doctors and staff. The NHS requires every practice to have a PPG.

If you would like to be a part of your GP surgery’s PPG, then you should contact your GP surgery to join. On your GP surgery website, you can usually find information on how to join the PPG under ‘surgery information’, or by entering ‘PPG’ in the search bar. Alternatively, you can contact your GP surgery during the afternoon when it will usually be less busy with urgent medical queries.

What is FaB Community Voices?

Feltham and Bedfont PCN is a group of 13 GP practices working together to serve our local community. We also want to work closely with patients to improve and develop services. We have therefore created a PCN or Network PPG.

Our PCN PPG is called FaB Community Voices. We hold regular meetings at both the PCN and individual practice levels to discuss new developments and gather meaningful input. This feedback plays a key role in shaping and improving the care we provide.

How can I join FaB Community Voices?

If you’d like to join or learn more, please contact us at hrch.fabcommunityvoices@nhs.net.

If you are already part of your GP surgery’s PPG, you may want to speak to the Chair to understand how to get more involved.
