Booking your appointment

No. Our online booking system is available 24/7, but you are welcome to call the Clinic or drop in and see us to book your appointment if you prefer.  

Appointments can be cancelled by phone or email. Cancellations must be at least 24 hours prior to the original booking time otherwise full charges will apply.

Refunds can be requested by phone or email. We will always strive to do what is right and fair. 

If you are unable to attend your appointment in person, it may be possible to switch to a virtual appointment depending on the reason for the appointment, Please call the clinic with as much notice as possible to check if a virtual appointment is suitable for you and the team can consult one of our doctors accordingly. If a virtual appointment is not appropriate, you will need to book a new face to face appointment. Refunds are available subject to our cancellation policy.  

Whilst we can usually offer same day appointments availability, it is important to be clear that we are not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, you should call 999 or go straight to your nearest A&E department, 

No, not at all, we work alongside our NHS colleagues and with your consent, we share the notes from any WLC consult with your GP practice so that they can maintain a full record of your medical history. 

If you need a scan, we can arrange this for you at one of our preferred providers or at a location of your choosing. 

You will not be able to use your private medical insurance to cover the cost of our services, however, if you require an onward diagnostic, such as an MRI or CT scan, or specialist consultant referral you may be able to use your PMI to cover this cost. It’s important to always check with your PMI provider before attending any such appointment. If you are unsure, please speak to one of our service managers and we will do what we can to help.

Prescriptions

Yes, our GPs can issue a private prescriptions as required. Please note that your pharmacy may charge you more than you would usually pay for your NHS prescription to dispense, depending on the medicine type.

Yes, our GPs can provide you with a repeat private prescription as long as we have seen you face to face for at least one previous consultation to discuss the issue that the repeat prescription relates to.

Yes, we can issue a prescription directly to a pharmacy that is convenient for you to pick up your medication from.

We do not provide home delivery now. We may include this service to our patients in due course.

Memberships

Well Life Clinic has a limited number of memberships available. The benefits of membership can be found on the membership page. Please contact us for further information.

Accessibility

Yes, our reception, treatment rooms and WC facilities are all wheelchair accessible.

Raising concerns

If you have a complaint or concern about the service, you have received from us please let us know. We hope that we can sort most problems out easily and quickly, often at the time they arise and with the person concerned.

We will acknowledge your complaint by email within 3 working days and complete a full investigation, should it be required, within 20 working days.
