Independent advocate for general practice

Wakefield LMC is an independent, self-financing body funded by a levy on GP earnings, providing representation, advice, and pastoral support.

🧭 Role of the LMC

We represent the views of GPs to NHS bodies and other organisations. We advise on NHS regulations, GMS/PMS contracts, GP T&Cs, complaints, partnership issues and provide pastoral support.

LMCs are independent, self-financing bodies funded by a levy on GPs’ earnings. We have statutory functions to represent general practice and act as its advocate. (LMCs are not trade unions.)
