Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
It usually takes about a week for test results to come back to us and get processed by your doctor. Some tests may take a little longer, especially unusual tests that have to be sent out of the county.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Patient Access account
- phone or visit us between after 2pm, where possible, and we will tell you what the results are. Monday is always busy on the phones, so avoid it if you can
Questions about your results
If you want to discuss the result further then simply come in, fill out our test results request form, or arrange for a telephone appointment with a doctor or nurse.
