Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:

  • In person – complete the tick slip attached to your prescription marking the items you require and return this slip to reception or drop in the prescription box.
  • By post – send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want it posted back to you.
  • Online – via this link. Please contact reception in person for your username and password and produce 1 form of ID at reception such as Passport or Driving License.

PLEASE NOTE: Calder Community Practice will not be able to accept prescription requests via telephone. If you have any specific needs, please speak to our reception staff, don’t struggle, please ask us for help.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

We offer Electronic Prescription Service which allows you to choose or “nominate” a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Your GP will then send your prescription electronically to the place you nominated instead of you collecting the prescription from your GP surgery in person saving you a trip to the surgery.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse or practice pharmacist at least once a year to review these regular medications. A notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow 2 full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember this does not include weekends and bank holidays.

For more information about changes please click here to contact the CCG.

If you take medication on a long term basis, you can ask reception about Repeat Dispensing.
