Our clinicians may ask you to book a blood test to monitor aspects of your health through the cells, chemicals and other components of your blood. It involves having a small amount of your blood taken for testing which is usually easy, almost painless and takes a matter of minutes. Test results are available by telephone usually after a week. We will contact you if the blood test results need further discussion with a clinician.
Our phlebotomist can also take bloods for you if a hospital clinician has given you a blood form so we know what blood tests to request and who to send the results to.
KAMP can take blood from children aged 12 and upwards. Under 11 year olds will be directed to Great Western Hospital – our Patient Navigators can advise you how to book an appointment.
