Alert: Latest Practice News

It is with much sadness that we announce the retirement of Dr Pickworth on 31st December 2024.

Dr Pickworth has been an integral part of the team for the past 27 years, having joined Corbett Medical Practice as locum cover in January 1998 and then as a Partner in August 1998.

He has now decided to retire his stethoscope and put his feet up for a well-earned rest.
We wish Dr Pickworth a long, fulfilled and happy retirement. You will be greatly missed by your colleagues and patients alike.

Patient Participation Group
We are planning to open our Patient Participation Group, (PPG), again. The PPG is a group of patients whose members work voluntarily with the surgery, acting as ‘critical friends’ to help the practice improve services for the patient population and engage with local organisations.

The practice feels it will be extremely beneficial to have patient involvement and that the group’s constructive and challenging views help the surgery to better understand the patient perspective. We believe it will also help the practice population in raising awareness of local services which will dovetail with the Practice’s existing services.

We envisage a group of around 10 - 15 patients, (although if the interest is there, we would consider more), who we would hope to meet every 3 months, with representatives of all Practice Departments. If you would like to be involved in patients supporting the Practice and the Practice supporting the patients please email corbett.managers@nhs.net Click here for more information!
