We have recently been made aware of scam phone calls where individuals falsely claim to be contacting patients on behalf of our GP practice. 🚫📞
In these calls, scammers may say you must “update your records” over the phone or risk being removed from the practice list. They may also try to gather personal details such as your address, NHS number, or even bank information. 🔐

We will only contact you from our official practice phone number.
If you’re ever unsure, it’s completely safe to hang up and call us back using the number shown on our website. ✔️
❌ What We Will Never Do
We will never threaten to remove you from our patient list during a phone call — unless our zero-tolerance policy has been breached, and never due to not sharing information.
We will never ask for bank details or any financial information. 💳🚫

- If you receive a call that feels suspicious:
- Hang up immediately. 🔚
- Call the practice directly using the phone number listed on our website. ☎️
- Report suspected fraud to the NHS Counter Fraud Authority:

✅ If a patient receives a negative result, they will be notified via the NHS App and a notification will appear on their device. If the message is not read within 72 hours, a letter will be sent as a backup.
✅ It will appear as an NHS App notification, and if someone doesn’t have notifications switched on for the NHS App, they may also receive an SMS message to remind them to check the NHS App.
📬 Abnormal results will continue to be sent by post for the time being.

Total Triage – LIVE Tuesday 2nd September

From Tuesday 2nd September 2025 we are going to a Total Triage model for all routine doctors’ appointments, and for all routine medical or admin queries. If you have an urgent medical problem, please call the practice, and our receptionist will be able to handle this matte.
Please note our total triage model does not affect any nurse, pharmacist, or other supporting service appointment onsite. They all can be accessed as usual.

Important Notice for Patients

The practice is using a tool called Heidi AI Scribe to help us to write up our clinical notes. This processes our consultations (either while we are talking or using the recording that our telephone system makes) and quickly generates a detailed and accurate write up which we check and then use to form the basis of our consultation notes. T
To allay concerns about data security, the system is accredited for use in the NHS, is compliant with GDPR and ISO 27001:2022, no recordings are made or stored by Heidi, and there is no link with our clinical notes so there is no risk of data loss of information that is in your medical record. If you nevertheless wish us not to make use of this technology in your consultation you just have to let us know and we will, of course, respect your request.
