Alert: Changes from 1st October 2025 GP Practices & New way of ordering your prescription - Patient-led ordering

From the 1st October 2025 GP Practices must now keep their online consultation tools open for NON-URGENT requests, medication queries, and admin tasks during core hours (8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday). GP Practices must inform patients of the outcome of their query within one working day, preventing patients from being asked to call back the next day.
This is not for URGENT requests that might need an immediate response. Please listen carefully to all the options on the phone when you call.
The aim of the contract change is to improve access by providing patients with a consistent way to contact their practice during core hours and reducing the "8am scramble" for appointments.

As of 12th January 2026, the way you order repeat prescriptions is changing. Your local or online pharmacy will no longer be able to order medicines on your behalf. The safest and easiest way to order is via the NHS APP or through the GP Practice.”

Anyone who cannot use the internet can still phone the practice and our receptionists will assist you in completing the online form over the phone.
