Caldicott and Confidentiality Policy
Policy Statement
All staff working in the NHS are bound by a legal duty of confidence to protect personal information they may encounter during their work. All staff are to fully understand the requirement to adhere to the Caldicott principles which are designed to safeguard and govern the use of patient information in all health and social care organisations.
Chaperone Policy
This policy is designed to protect both patients and staff from abuse or allegations of abuse and to assist patients to make an informed choice about their examinations and consultations.

Complaints Procedure
This procedure sets out Regent House Surgery approach to the handling of complaints and is intended as an internal guide which should be made readily available to all staff.
From 1st April 2009 a common approach to the handling of complaints was introduced across health and adult social care. This procedure complies with this.

Confidentiality Patient Data Policy
This document sets out the arrangements in the practice for the confidentiality of patient data.
CQC Statement of Purpose
The aim of our practice is to provide a full range of primary health care services to our registered population. In order to achieve this we lay particular emphasis on the following objectives:
- To promote equality of access to health care for all our registered population.
- To promote the uptake of preventive procedures which have been shown to be of value.
- To develop the potential for patient care in all members of the primary health care team.
- To foster an innovative approach to the development of primary care through clinical teaching, audit and research.

Freedom of Information Policy
The purpose of this document is to ensure that staff and patients at Regent House Surgery are aware of the ways in which the organisation adheres to the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act 2000 (referred to as the Act herein).
GP Earnings
NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice
All GP practices are required to declare the mean (average) earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Regent House Surgery in the last financial year was £79,345 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 6 Part time GPs who worked at the practice for more than 6 months

Patient Social Media and Acceptable Use Policy for England
The purpose of this policy is to provide staff at Regent House Surgery with guidance and rules regarding the following:
- Understanding what to do when an unacceptable social media post has been placed by a patient about either the practice or its staff.
- The acceptable use of mobile phones and other portable electronic devices within the organisation.
Practice Privacy Notice Fair Processing
As a registered patient, Regent House Surgery has a legal duty to explain how we use any personal information we collect about you at the organisation. We collect records about your health and the treatment you receive in both electronic and paper format.
